Much to Atti boy's suprise here she is miss LuLu :D after driving 2 hours home with our new girl, who did not take well to riding in the car, let's just say I'm glad we had some plastic bags. We made it home. Where she is camped out in the garage on her doggy bed. Well at 4 a.m. the tornado alarm goes off and so does she! Howling, I felt so bad like welcome to your life! I would have been scared too! But today she was much more calm, having gotten a trip to the groomer's and lots of petting and play time. She is a sweetie pie!

This week started what always becomes mass chaos of the holidays. Loads of food, which I am grateful for. As I learned not too far down the road some families won't be as fortunate. It's amazing to me to find in this day and age the poverty that is right around the corner. And as I found out earlier this month, the school my little boy attends is right on top of these things. Having food drives for these families and that made me proud and happy to help. But I still feel I could help more in some way.
As every year we go to Selma, Alabama to celebrate Thanksgiving with my husbands family. His dad pictured with me above has always shown nothing but kindness to me and loves his grandchildren so genuinely it makes me happy to visit with them. His wife is the best cook I know and cries when we all leave. It's nice to know you are truly loved by your husbands family.
My sister even ventured out with me to visit. She is also pictured above with my sister in law, who is so talented it amazes me.
Next up tomorrow we will be getting a new family member in our house. A dog , Atticus's has been asking for for almost a year now. This is his Christmas gift from Barry and I and he is very ready for this. He has no clue that tomorrow after school we are going to pick her up. I am excited also as we will all probably cry. Yes, we are those people. Some days are just plain wonderful and expect tomorrow will fall into that category. More to come :D
